Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing in the United States seeks a seasoned technician for installation, programming, testing, and maintenance of protective relaying and metering systems in transmission and distribution environments.

You will interpret schematics, work in substations, and ensure safety and reliability. Responsibilities include testing and calibrating relays, transformers, and switchgear, coordinating with engineers and clients, and supporting startup and commissioning efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical testing or related field experience.
• Strong ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience testing protective relays and metering equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• NETA/NICET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain protective relays and metering systems.
• Interpret schematics and substation drawings to locate faults.
• Coordinate testing and repairs with other departments.
• Document test results and compliance records.
• Support commissioning and startup activities.
