Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing seeks a field technician to install, program, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems in transmission and distribution settings.

You will interpret schematics, diagnose issues, and coordinate repairs with multiple departments while following safety procedures. The role requires traveling up to 50% domestically and internationally and holding active work authorization in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of electrical experience or equivalent degrees with experience.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25–50%.
• Valid/active U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to locate faults and coordinate repairs.
• Test equipment operation and safety practices in energized environments.
• Commission new installations and perform diagnostics, testing, and maintenance.
• Prepare detailed test reports and coordinate with engineers and clients.
