Job summary

Alabama Power is seeking a Protection & Control Field Services Supervisor to lead the P&C FS Support group, provide technical guidance, budget oversight, and ensure NERC compliance across the field services function. The preferred office is Hueytown, with options in Montgomery, Headland, or Mobile.

This exempt level 7 role requires an engineering degree (ABET) and substantial P&C experience; PE license preferred. Travel 25% and on-call rotation with relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or Engineering Technology degree with relevant test experience.
• Eight years of combined P&C field services, substation design, applications, maintenance, or operations experience preferred.
• Formal performance management/supervisory experience is a plus.
• Active PE license is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to P&C Field Services Support group.
• Ensure safety as a core value and promote Our Values behaviors.
• Provide technical guidance on protection and control issues.
• Oversee compliance with PRC-5, CIP and NERC standards.
• Manage P&C asset management (STOMP) and software support.
• Coordinate ITV of Farley work procedures and lead emerging P&C technologies.
