Alabama Power is seeking a Protection & Control Field Services Supervisor (Support) to lead the P&C FS Support group. This role provides technical guidance, direction, budget oversight, and ensures NERC compliance across PRC-5 and related standards.

The preferred office is Hueytown, with alternatives in Montgomery, Headland, or Mobile, and requires commuting to the assigned location. Responsibilities include guiding the team, training and performance feedback, managing protection system

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred) with 4 years of transmission P&C field test experience, or 2- or 4-year Engineering Technology degree with 8 years of transmission P&C field test experience.
• Eight years of combined experience in P&C Field Services, P&C Substation Design, P&C Applications, TMC Substations Maintenance, or System Operations is highly preferred.
• Formal performance management/supervisory experience is a plus

• Oversee P&C asset management (STOMP) and software support
• Coordinate ITV of Farley work procedures
• Lead emerging P&C technologies and maintain customer service excellence
• Oversee P&C FS O&M and Capital budgets
• Support Learning Path efforts within the Southern Company Engineering Certification Training program
