Job summary

Alabama Power is seeking a Protection & Control Field Services Supervisor to lead the P&C FS Support group. You will provide technical guidance, supervise staff, and oversee budgets while ensuring compliance with NERC standards and safety policies.

Preferred office is Hueytown, with options to work from Montgomery, Headland, or Mobile. Travel up to 25% and on-call responsibilities are required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering with ABET accreditation and electrical emphasis; or Eng Tech degree with substantial P&C field test experience.
• Extensive knowledge of protective relays, relaying schemes, and control systems in utilities.
• Active PE license preferred; formal supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to P&C Field Services Support group and ensure safety first.
• Model Our Values and promote a positive, high-performance work culture.
• Oversee budgets and comply with PRC-5, CIP, and other NERC standards.
• Coordinate training, performance feedback, and staff development.
• Provide technical guidance on protection and control issues and ITV oversight.
• Ensure top-level customer service for internal and external clients.
• Support P&C committees and industry interactions; manage O&M and capex budgets.
