Job summary

Alabama Power Company seeks a Protection & Control Field Services Supervisor (Support) to lead the P&C Field Services Support group, ensure safety, and drive excellence in protection system commissioning and maintenance. The role includes budget oversight, NERC compliance monitoring, and staff development.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree (ABET preferred) with 8+ years in P&C field testing and a track record in leadership.

Qualifications

• ABET or equivalent engineering degree with relevant field experience.
• Experience with protection and control systems and field testing.
• Formal supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the P&C Field Services Support group.
• Ensure safety and model safety-first principles.
• Oversee budget and NERC compliance monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance for protection and control issues.
• Coordinate training and performance feedback for staff.
• Maintain P&C asset management oversight and software support.
• Support ITV of field procedures and emerging P&C technologies.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to internal/external customers.
• Coordinate resources and contractor availability as needed.
