Hanger, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Certified Prosthetist (CP) or Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to join a small three-person clinic.

You will enjoy autonomy, build strong patient relationships, and be an integral part of a collaborative team delivering exceptional patient care. You will assess patients, design and fit prostheses or orthoses, and collaborate with physicians to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the ABC or BOC.
• A baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics, or the foreign equivalent, and ABC board-eligibility.
• A valid driver’s license and driving record meeting safety requirements.
• In states where licensure is required, ability to obtain and maintain licensure.
• Candidates not certified or board-eligible may be considered if they have at least 5 years of demonstrated past experience in providing prosthetic and/or orthotic services under supervision.
• May see patients in either certified discipline while completing residency in the other discipline.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient need for prosthetic/orthotic services and discuss treatment options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic/orthotic devices and select appropriate materials.
• Take casts, model modifications, and perform fittings with proper alignment.
• Provide accurate clinical notes in patient records; may mentor residents or new clinicians.
