Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Laurel, MD is seeking a Prosthetist/Orthotist to evaluate, design, and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices for a diverse patient population. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, provide patient education, and contribute to ongoing clinical excellence within a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics (ABC or BOC) or
• Bachelor's degree in prosthetics/orthotics with ABC Board-Eligibility
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain state licensure where required
• May consider candidates not certified but with 5+ years of demonstrated experience under supervision

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient needs and propose treatment options.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Provide detailed clinical notes and participate in case management.
• Educate patients on device use and care; support follow-up with physicians.
• Mentor residents or new clinicians when needed.
• Support compliance with safety, Medicare and OSHA regulations.
