Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Specialist, Project and Component Engineer in Canoga Park, CA. The role supports pressurant and propellant components and propulsion systems within defense programs, collaborating with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with at least 4 years of related experience (or a graduate degree with 2+ years). US security clearance is preferred; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineering experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD software CREO and PLM systems Windchill is preferred.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.

Responsibilities

• Determine approaches to objectives demonstrating engineering principles, concepts, and practices.
• Production and fabrication support for rocket engine components.
• Coordinate with project teams to align technical, schedule, and cost solutions.
• Analyze and verify product design for adequacy and reliability.
• Assist in communicating with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Up to 10% travel to suppliers and production sites.
