Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Sr. Associate, Project Engineer for its Canoga Park, CA site. You will assist in executing multiple phases of development or production propulsion programs, collaborating across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to ensure component success.

The role requires a degree with relevant experience or equivalent, with the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. The position offers a 9/80 schedule and potential for extended hours to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related engineering experience or graduate degree with 0–2 years related experience; in lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of related engineering experience.
• Familiarity with aerospace/defense production processes and GD&T;Lean manufacturing principles and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, determine approaches to objectives using engineering principles.
• Develop specifications, design concepts, and test plans for components.
• Interface with project teams to coordinate technical, schedule, and cost solutions.
• Analyze and verify design and performance for adequacy and reliability; address issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Up to 10% travel to suppliers and production sites.
• Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance.
