Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Propulsion Engineer I to support propulsion systems for hypersonic vehicles, from concept through flight demonstration. You will work at the intersection of propulsion design, vehicle integration, systems engineering, and test, taking ownership of your subsystem.

Ideal candidates have propulsion experience, strong systems thinking, and the ability to drive technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years in propulsion systems engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD and drafting; GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze propulsion system components and tanks.
• Support rapid design iterations, testing, and data analysis.
• Collaborate across teams for system sizing and manufacturability.
