Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Propulsion Engineer II to own propulsion system design from concept through flight demonstration. You will work at the intersection of propulsion, vehicle integration, systems engineering, and testing, driving decisions in fast-paced programs.

The ideal candidate has propulsion experience, strong systems thinking, and the ability to influence design choices in hardware-centric projects. USD-based, on-site Colorado role with security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of propulsion systems engineering or propulsion-focused vehicle development.
• Experience with CAD and drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform clean-sheet design and analysis of fluid and mechanical vehicle components.
• Use first-principles engineering to guide design decisions.
• Support rapid development cycles including testing, data analysis and hands-on hardware work.
