Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Propulsion Engineer I to support the technical definition, integration, and execution of propulsion systems for hypersonic vehicles. You will work at the intersection of propulsion design, vehicle integration, systems engineering, and test, owning your system from early concept through flight demonstration and production transition.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering required or related field.
• Experience in propulsion systems or propulsion-focused vehicle development.
• Proficiency with CAD and drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze propulsion components and systems.
• Support rapid design cycles, testing, data analysis, and hardware work.
• Prepare and participate in design reviews and TIMs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, analysis, and test teams to reduce variation.
• Interface with customers and IPTs during reviews and meetings.
• Support manufacturability and producibility considerations.
