Job summary

Hermeus is seeking a Propulsion Engineering Intern to support the design, development, and testing of propulsion components and systems. You will collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, and vendors to take propulsion hardware from concept through testing.

This 16-week fall internship offers hands-on experience across propulsion design, drawings, and test rig setup, with opportunities to contribute to real hardware and documentation in a fast-moving aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing undergraduate 3rd/4th year or a Master’s/PhD.
• Strong interest in propulsion and testing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• GPA 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of propulsion components and systems from conceptual design through detailed mechanical design.
• Create and release engineering drawings and collaborate with manufacturing teams and external vendors to produce hardware.
• Assist in defining, configuring, and setting up propulsion test rigs.
• Support the execution and documentation of propulsion hardware testing and development activities.
