Job summary

Hermeus in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Propulsion Engineering Intern to support the design, development, and testing of propulsion components and systems. You will collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, and vendors to move propulsion hardware from concept through testing.

Spring, Summer, and Fall internships run roughly 16, 12, and 16 weeks respectively. Candidates must be enrolled in a STEM program with a 3.0+ GPA and demonstrate hands-on experience in designing, building, and

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year of study, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).
• Strong interest in propulsion systems, design, and testing.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of propulsion components and systems from conceptual design through detailed mechanical design
• Create and release engineering drawings and collaborate with manufacturing teams and external vendors to produce hardware
• Assist in defining, configuring, and setting up propulsion test rigs
• Support the execution and documentation of propulsion hardware testing and development activities
