Job summary

Hermeus invites a Test Engineering Intern to help develop, build, analyze and operate test assets for its supersonic vehicles. You will work across hydraulic, fuel, high-voltage and airframe subsystems while supporting test readiness, data collection and process improvements.

The internship spans Spring (~16 weeks) and Summer (~12 weeks) with opportunities to design fixtures, run test plans, and document results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a STEM program (undergrad 3rd/4th year or grad student).
• Strong interest in testing and experimental methods.
• Solid understanding of engineering first principles.
• GPA 3.0 or above required.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, manufacturing, implementation, and maintenance of test assets and facilities.
• Design test fixtures, tooling, adapters, interfaces, panels, and other hardware used in test setups.
• Assist in developing test plans, procedures, and protocols for vehicle subsystems and components.
• Perform engineering analysis to determine test points, instrumentation needs and safety margins.
• Support test design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align test requirements and execution.
• Create CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing plans for test components and fixtures.
• Track hardware progress with manufacturing/build teams and assist in test readiness.
• Operate and troubleshoot fluid, mechanical, and electrical test systems and collect data.
