Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly motivated thermal/structural analyst (CFD focus) to support propulsion systems in a fast-paced environment. You will perform FEA/CFD analyses (Abaqus/Fluent), assess results, and provide design guidance on advanced materials. Collaboration with internal/external customers is essential.

Level 1 requires a BS and 0+ years; Level 2 requires 2+ years with BS or 0+ with MS. On-site at Rocket Center, WV with limited travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Science.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment.
• Relevant CFD/FEA knowledge and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Analysis model formulation and FEA/CFD using Abaqus or Fluent.
• Provide technical assessments and design guidance for materials.
• Report analysis results in written and oral formats.
• Peer review of colleagues' work across locations.
• Interface with customers and support personnel in design/testing.
• Travel typically less than once a year.
