Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a senior structural analyst to lead and perform analyses of complex aerospace and defense structures. The role combines leadership with hands-on execution of loads development, stress, and vibration analyses across airborne, shipboard, and space radar platforms.

Candidates should have advanced degrees and a strong record in FE modeling using NX, ANSYS, or MSC Patran, plus DoD clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of related experience; higher degrees may reduce required experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• 12 years of experience in classical structural and finite element analysis including static, non-linear, modal, and vibration analysis.
• 12 years of experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis on aerospace, shipboard, ground based, and space radar systems and structures.
• Loads development, stress analysis (static and fatigue), and vibration analysis of metallic and composite structures.
• Perform classical structural analysis, as well as finite element analysis; communicate results through reports and presentations.
• Collaborate in a team environment, mentor less experienced personnel, prioritize and organize tasks to support program milestones.
