Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, California is seeking a Propulsion Analyst Intern to support the Propulsion team by creating FEA and CFD models and analyzing rocket engine hardware.

You will work with mentors in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary group, attend regular 1:1s, participate in tech talks, and gain hands-on experience delivering real hardware insights for Archimedes engines. This 12-week on-site internship starts May or June 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program and have at least one semester remaining post internship
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or project work)

Responsibilities

• Work with mentors and teammates to apply engineering concepts and grow technically.
• Support the propulsion team by developing and analyzing FE/CFD models for rocket hardware.
• Attend regular 1:1s with mentors to discuss progress and learning.
• Engage in tech talks and network with interns and staff to share insights.
