Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Propulsion Analyst Intern in Long Beach, CA to support the propulsion team with FEA and CFD modeling of rocket engine hardware. You will collaborate across teams to analyze designs and gain hands-on experience while working on challenging tasks.

The role emphasizes growth through mentorship, regular progress updates, and participation in technical talks and intern events during a 12+ week on-site program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's, master's or doctorate in engineering, physics or math with at least one semester remaining.
• GPA 3.0 or above and 3+ months applied engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Support propulsion team by creating FEA/CFD models for new designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze rocket engine hardware.
• Work with mentors to gain hands-on technical and professional growth.
• Attend frequent 1:1s and participate in technical talks and events.
