Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Propulsion Design Intern to assist in design and analysis of Archimedes engine components during a 12+ week on-site internship.

You will work with a multidisciplinary propulsion team, gain hands-on experience, and attend tech talks while reporting to mentors to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. The role offers growth, mentorship, and exposure to aerospace industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in an Aerospace, Astronautical, Aeronautical or Mechanical engineering discipline with at least one semester remaining post internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or project work) available.

Responsibilities

• Work with a fast-paced group to apply engineering concepts to real challenges.
• Attend frequent 1:1s with mentors to facilitate success and learning.
• Engage in tech talks and network with interns and employees.
