Job summary

Raytheon’s Global Supply Chain Management (GCSM) team shapes and delivers a secure, robust supply chain for Air and Space Defense Systems. The Proposal Material Program Manager leads proposal strategy, collaborates with engineering and procurement, and ensures compliance with DFAR/FAR and TINA while coordinating domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience working on proposals.
  • Ability to work on programs requiring special program access.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Experience managing large databases.
  • Experience managing proposal activities.
  • Experience managing and/or working with suppliers.
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Experience using supply chain planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis, etc.).
  • Commitment to earning Material Program Management certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting program proposal kickoffs and strategy development, balancing strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs.
  • Generating and/or collecting necessary documentation for successful proposals, including sole source justifications, DD254 facilitation, EX/IM planning and gathering entrance criteria needed to kick off the requests for proposals (RFPs) to the procurement teams, pricing approvals and much more.
  • Developing and executing supply chain proposal strategy in support of all program gate review and risk and opportunity management reviews.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Ensuring proposal compliance to DFAR/FAR and TINA compliance.
  • Domestic and/or International travel expected.

As a Proposal Material Program Manager (MPM) you’re accountable for the Supply Chain proposal efforts for the Air and Space Defense Systems portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to shape and execute a new combined bid and procurement strategy for the customer.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

Location and Travel

Domestic and/or International travel expected. This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility.
