Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to lead material strategies and plans for the Mission Solutions & Payloads portfolio in the ASDS unit. The role requires interfacing with all management levels and supplier management to align with program objectives.

The position oversees the Material Program Strategy and Plan, RLPM support, supplier performance, pricing, risk plans, and compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and related controls. This onsite US role is located in El Segundo, CA.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and/or Project/Program Management.
  • Experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel and Project).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP)
  • Provide Supply Chain support for RLPM activities and ensure IPDP compliance with the programs and tailoring when applicable
  • Own supplier management activities and performance to include metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
  • Support supply chain proposal activities including pricing and bases of estimates
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
  • Identify opportunities for small business participation
  • Work closely with Engineering, Mission Assurance, and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Monitor and proactively act to address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality and EVM
  • Responsible for financial tasks related to material including tracking budgets, targets, initiating & maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short‑range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
  • Flow down Program Requirements and Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs

Position Summary

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support the Mission Solutions & Payloads portfolio in the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit. This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of all material strategies and plans in support of program execution. The candidate must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management. Additionally, this position requires an individual who will be able to exert influence on the overall objectives and long‑range goals of the program and the program IPT team. The ideal candidate will ensure cohesive alignment with supply chain and enterprise objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
