Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in Virginia is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to support the Virginia/DC region with pursuit coordination and marketing efforts. You will manage government proposals, coordinate from kick-off to delivery, and work with SMEs to develop content.

The role emphasizes quality submissions, data entry, and maintaining marketing materials, while collaborating with technical, administrative, and external teams. This is an onsite position within a dynamic ESOP-enabled firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, English, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 2–5 years of A/E/C experience.
• Knowledge of the RFP structure and proposal process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and InDesign.
• Proficient in CRM Systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prepare, and review standard government form proposals, expressions of interest, technical proposals, and presentations.
• Produce consistently compliant high-quality submissions while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Search for leads and opportunities.
• Coordinate all phases of the pursuit process from kick-off to production and delivery, and proposal closeout.
• Participate in pre-proposal meetings, kick-off meetings, debriefings, etc.
• Prepare major sections of pursuits with SMEs to develop content.
• Coordinate pursuit production, printing, and delivery with QA/QC.
• Provide Marketing essential functions and responsibilities.
• Complete data entry for Marketing databases, tracking leads, go/no-go, and wins or losses.
• Maintain visually appealing marketing materials and collaborate with staff and vendors.
• Work with technical staff, administrative staff, marketing staff, and outside partners.
• Administrative duties related to marketing.
• Generate reports for technical staff on marketing efforts.
• Adhere to JMT’s QMS ISO 9001:2015 Marketing procedures.
• This position does not directly involve social media or communications tasks.
