About the Opportunity

EnergyHub's Sales team is seeking a dynamic candidate with a passion for the clean energy field and strong technical writing, project management, and communication skills. The Proposal Coordinator will develop compelling client proposals that propel EnergyHub's growth.

In this role, you'll be a key resource representing EnergyHub in proposals and project managing responses to complex utility RFPs, playing a central role in our growth and success. You will become an expert in distributed energy resources (DERs), combining technical and business acumen to develop proposals about control of EV charging, smart thermostats, batteries, and other connected devices. You will coordinate input from teams across EnergyHub to ensure comprehensive and effective proposals.

Main Responsibilities

1. Manage the proposal lifecycle, coordinating input from teams, developing content, and tracking progress.
2. Create compelling proposal materials through original writing and delegated content, synthesizing information into a cohesive narrative.
3. Promote EnergyHub's value through strong technical writing.
4. Collaborate with sales to understand client needs and requirements.
5. Lead proposal meetings and coordinate approvals.
6. Respond to follow-up questions and prepare for proposal defenses.
7. Develop expertise in utility markets and DER landscape.
8. Maintain a library of proposal content and templates.
9. Work with teams to ensure consistent messaging.
10. Improve proposal processes to increase quality and volume.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree.
2. 2+ years in proposal management, technical writing, consulting, product marketing, or related fields.
3. Excellent writing and editing skills.
4. Strong communication and project management skills.
5. Experience developing business cases.
6. Energy industry experience, especially demand side management, is a plus.
7. Interest in how technology is transforming energy use.
