W. L. Butler is seeking a Business Development & Marketing Coordinator to support California pursuits—from proposal coordination to polished client-facing materials. You’ll gather content, coordinate schedules, and produce professional documents using InDesign and MS Office.

The role emphasizes proposal development, pursuit support, and marketing collateral creation, with opportunities to contribute to events and BD initiatives. California-focused, full-time on-site positions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in proposal coordination, marketing proposal production, business development support, or pursuit coordination.
• Experience coordinating proposals, qualification packages, presentations, or other client-facing pursuit materials.
• Experience supporting proposal development in the construction, architecture, engineering, real estate, or professional services industries strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and the ability to produce professional proposal and marketing documents.
• Strong written communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Experience with CRM systems, SharePoint, Procore, ProjectMark, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Resourceful, dependable, and collaborative with a strong customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and production of RFPs, RFQs, SOQs, proposals, qualification packages, and interview presentations using InDesign and Microsoft Office
• Gather and organize project information, resumes, narratives, and other content needed for proposal submissions
• Coordinate proposal schedules, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple pursuits
• Produce, format, edit, and assemble professional client-facing proposal and marketing documents
• Maintain proposal templates, project information, team resumes, and marketing resources
• Manage and update client, project, and contact information within our CRM database
• Complete industry surveys, award submissions, and business development reporting
• Support company events, community involvement activities, and business development initiatives
