Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Proposal Specialist to lead complex proposal efforts and materials across our Marketing team. You will partner with Business Development, technical staff, Operations, Communications, and Marketing leadership to craft compliant, client-focused proposals that drive growth.

The role requires independent work, sharp project management, and continuous improvement of proposal tools and processes. Strong MS Office, InDesign, and CRM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, Public Relations, or related field; or 5–7 years in proposal development/marketing.
• Ability to manage complex proposals from kickoff through final submission with timelines and compliance.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills.
• Experience developing client-focused messaging, win themes, and differentiators.

Responsibilities

• Leads development, coordination, production, and delivery of complex proposals and related collateral.
• Manages multiple pursuits with schedules, compliance, deadlines, and quality.
• Facilitates kickoff meetings, coordinates contributors, and drives accountability.
• Collaborates to develop win themes and client-focused messaging.
• Analyzes RFQs/RFPs to identify compliance requirements and risks.
• Coordinates content from technical staff, partners, and stakeholders.
• Writes, edits, and formats proposal content for clarity and impact.
• Maintains proposal assets in Cosential/Unanet CRM.
