Job summary

Indianapolis Housing Agency is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee operations and performance at one or more housing sites. You will supervise staff, manage leases, monitor budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance with HUD and RAD requirements.

Responsibilities include leasing, occupancy targets, vendor oversight, audits, and interdepartmental collaboration to optimize operations and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, plus five years of relevant work experience in property management or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise employees and achieve performance goals.
• Knowledge of HUD, REAC, and fair housing practices and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor collections, vacancies, and reports across sites using data systems and meetings.
• Lease apartments, explain terms, and execute leases while maintaining professional standards.
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure on-call coverage for emergencies.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and monitor budget status through monthly reports.
• Support regulatory audits and respond to compliance issues and inspection requests.
