Job summary

SHP Management Corp. is seeking a Property Manager in Indianapolis, IN. The role oversees all property functions, staff supervision, and tenant communications, with emphasis on HUD compliance and TRACS submissions.

You will handle annual certifications, REAC prep, A/R management, and inspections, coordinating with maintenance and main office. A degree and 3–5 years of Section 8/tax credit experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Three to five years Project-based Section 8 or tax credit experience.
• Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office; Real Page, YARDI or other property management software required.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team.
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
• Reliable and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all functions of the property including staff supervision and tenant communications.
• Prepare properties for annual compliance audits with internal staff and state agencies.
• Submit monthly HUD/TRACS vouchers and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Coordinate tenant move-ins/outs and maintain wait lists per HUD/SHP specs.
• Assist in budget preparation and procurement of supplies with maintenance supervisor.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with HUD/REAC requirements.
