Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies is seeking a Porter for part-time, non-exempt work. The role focuses on maintaining common areas and apartments prior to move-in, while delivering strong customer service and teamwork on a property in Oklahoma.

The position requires physical work and the ability to operate hand and power tools as needed. The Porter will also handle miscellaneous maintenance tasks, assist with turnovers, report issues to management, and participate in required training sessions to uphold

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for up to eight hours per day.
• Ability to communicate and comprehend in English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the common areas of the property and apartments prior to move-in.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service and teamwork.
• Keep clubhouse, office, model, and all common areas safe, tidy, and sanitary.
• Ensure property is free of trash, debris and animal waste.
• Keep dumpster areas clean and prepare for trash pick-up.
• Maintain grounds and landscaping, watering flowers as needed.
• Ensure apartments look their best before new residents move in.
• Report items needing attention to supervisor (e.g., ripped carpet, torn linoleum, window/door repair).
• Assist with apartment turnovers as directed.
• Communicate with Property Manager or Service Manager about maintenance or curb appeal issues.
• Respond to emergencies per policies and procedures.
• Attend in-service training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Contribute to resident satisfaction by meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
