Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies is seeking a Porter (Full-Time, Non-Exempt) to maintain the common areas of our properties and ensure apartments are ready for move-in, delivering dependable, friendly service.

The role emphasizes exemplary customer service and teamwork, requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and performing physical labor daily in all weather, and using hand and power tools. You will assist with turnovers and participate in Cardinal U training as required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk and perform physical labor for up to eight hours daily.
• Exemplary customer service and teamwork.
• English communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, tidy and sanitary clubhouse, office, model, and all other common areas.
• Ensure property is free of trash, debris and animal waste.
• Maintain dumpster areas and prepare for trash pick-up.
• Well-maintain lawn and landscaping, including watering flowers.
• Ensure apartments look optimal prior to move-in.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Assist with apartment turnovers as directed.
• Communicate with Property/Service Manager on maintenance or curb appeal issues.
• Respond to emergencies per policy.
• Attend in-service training sessions.
• Contribute to resident satisfaction by meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
