Job summary

Foundation Communities is seeking a Transition Assistant Property Manager to provide temporary management coverage across multiple properties in Austin, Texas. You will assist with leasing, applications, recertifications, collections, and unit turns while supporting property teams and leadership.

The role requires 3+ years in multifamily management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel among properties.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in multifamily property management or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of apartment operations, leasing, resident services.
• Ability to manage changing situations and multiple deadlines.
• Solid judgment, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to train staff while maintaining accountability.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide temporary management and operational support during vacancies and transitions.
• Assess property needs, set priorities, organize work, and report progress to leadership.
• Support leasing, applications, screening, renewals, transfers, waitlists, and move-ins.
• Assist with prospect follow-up, tours, occupancy efforts, and required documentation.
• Coordinate with Property Managers and maintenance for vacant-unit turns and readiness checks.
• Support lease-ups, inspections, staffing transitions, and property stabilization.
• Provide onboarding, training, and guidance on procedures and systems.
• Reinforce expectations for resident service, teamwork, and compliance with procedures.
• Build positive relationships with residents, applicants, employees, vendors, and support departments.
