Job summary

Jamestown in Naples, FL is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee operations at large properties, providing strategic direction to meet the owner’s objectives while ensuring safety, building maintenance, and financial management.

The role combines field and administrative work, requiring strong leadership and expertise in building systems, with collaboration to deliver ROI and high service standards. The position reports to the General Manager and participates in budget planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in business or related field.
• Trade-school degree in HVAC or electronics advantageous.
• Universal CFC license is required.
• LEED designation is preferred.
• BOMA SMA/SMT or N.A.P.E designation is preferred.
• Two years’ experience in supervisory or leadership roles.
• Five to ten years’ experience in commercial or facility operations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property team leader with positioning of engineering personnel.
• Oversee the distribution of team responsibilities to ensure effective utilization of the engineering workforce.
• Lead interviews, evaluate qualifications, and assess prospective engineering employees.
• Review and modify maintenance programs, services, policies and procedures.
• Serve as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers.
• Provide a hands-on approach to maintenance and complete feasible repairs.
• Ensure adequate inventories of supplies and approved requisitions.
• Advise on safety compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
• Provide guidance for employee development and performance reviews.
• Direct safety training and ensure OSHA compliance everywhere on the property.
• Oversee budgeting and cost control for operations and capital improvements.
• Coordinate landlord’s work and opening of tenants for business.
• Implement sustainability programs and LEED initiatives.
