Job summary

Jamestown is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee operations at select large properties within our portfolio. You will align engineering resources with owner objectives, ensuring safety, building systems operation, tenant service and financial management deliver strong ROI.

The role requires leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on maintenance while coordinating with the General Manager and contractors. Expect a mix of administrative duties and field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Trade-related technical training in HVAC/electronics is advantageous.
• CFC license is required.
• LEED designation preferred.
• BOMA SMA/SMT or N.A.P.E. designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property team leader with positioning of engineering personnel.
• Oversee distribution of team responsibilities to optimize resources.
• Lead interviews and assess prospective engineering employees with GM.
• Review and guide maintenance programs, services, policies and procedures.
• Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers.
• Provide a hands-on approach to all maintenance aspects of the property.
• Ensure inventories of supplies and approved requisitions for equipment.
• Advise on safety laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Support budget development for operating and capital improvements.
• Oversee safety training and enforce OSHA guidelines.
• Monitor building equipment to support crisis preparedness.
