You will manage repairs, preventive maintenance, scheduling, vendor oversight, and staff training to keep buildings, grounds and life-safety systems in excellent condition and to provide residents with a comfortable living environment.

Qualifikationen

• Five or more years of prior experience in general maintenance or a combination of education and experience required.
• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Minimum of three or more years of previous supervisor experience preferred in Assisted Living/ Skilled nursing facilities.

Aufgaben

• Direct and oversee the daily maintenance functions and ensure all team members are trained and following policies and procedures.
• Create procedures that ensure daily maintenance tasks are executed properly by all department personnel.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure safety procedures are followed and trained within the community.
• Manage the safety log and communicate focus areas to department Directors and the Executive Director.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs by inspecting work areas and equipment for compliance with safety regulations.
• Delegate and allocate work assignments and schedules for department personnel.
• Manage, train and onboard all department staff.
• Plan and implement a complete preventative maintenance program for all equipment.
• Ensure MSDSs for hazardous chemicals are obtained and properly labeled and stored.
• Ensure infection control and universal precautions are followed by all department team members.
• Ensure apartments/units meet company standards and applicable laws.
• Diagnose problems, perform repairs, and track progress and completion.
• Ensure readiness of unoccupied apartments/units for occupancy.
• Supervise and coordinate work with outside vendors as per contracts/work orders.
