Job summary

Intuit Inc. is seeking an experienced property manager to oversee day-to-day operations of assigned public or affordable housing properties in Chicago. You will supervise staff, manage leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and program requirements.

The role requires extensive knowledge of budgeting, vendor coordination, and resident relations. On-site work and travel between properties are expected.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of progressively responsible property-management experience, preferably in public or affordable housing.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing, leasing, collections, maintenance coordination, inspections, budgeting, file documentation, and affordable-housing compliance practices.
• Rent certification credential or willingness to obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft 365, Yardi or comparable software, work-order systems, spreadsheets, email, and electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily property operations, staff workflow, resident service, leasing activity, occupancy, rent collection, delinquency follow-up, and site administration.
• Monitor property income and expenses, approve invoices within delegated authority, support budget preparation, review monthly reports, and address variances with supervisory and accounting staff.
• Coordinate maintenance, inspections, unit turns, preventive maintenance, vendor access, emergency response, and work-order follow-up to maintain property conditions.
• Ensure resident interactions, leasing practices, notices, files, recertification support, reasonable-accommodation processes, and documentation comply with Fair Housing and program requirements.
• Address resident concerns and lease-enforcement matters, conduct property meetings and inspections, prepare reports, and escalate issues as needed.
