Job summary

CenterCal Properties is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Veranda and The Streets of Brentwood, ensuring top-tier customer experience. You will supervise on-site teams and contractors, develop budgets, and drive safety and efficiency across multiple properties.

The role requires extensive facilities/PM experience, strong leadership, and ability to manage complex operations with a focus on community impacts and service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Minimum of five years management experience in facilities/property management, operations, engineering, construction and maintenance.
• Ability to self-perform and supervise general maintenance, basic carpentry, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing functions.
• Shopping center maintenance experience required.
• Experience in commissioning and ongoing operations of mixed-use developments preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and convey information effectively to management and tenants.
• Excellent communication with diverse populations.
• Strong computer skills with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Valid California driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee aesthetics and operations of properties to maintain high customer experience.
• Perform daily property inspections by staff and contractors.
• Develop and manage CAM budgets and five-year capital plans.
• Supervise janitorial, security, landscaping and on-site contractors.
• Train and manage staff and contracted services per CenterCal standards.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and governmental standards.
• Prepare and manage operating contracts and vendor relationships.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and replacement parts.
• Coordinate with construction/tenant services teams for landlord work.
• On-call 24/7 for emergencies.
• Read blueprints and assist tenant coordination as needed.
