Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Houston. The role supports the Property Manager in daily property operations, resident relations, and leasing duties to ensure a high-quality resident experience.

You will manage rent processes, reporting, and coordination with maintenance, while upholding company policies and safety standards. A strong candidate has 2–3 years in property management and proficient MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Two to three years of experience in property management is required.
• Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities is required.
• Real estate license is preferred or may be required in some locations.
• Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property manager in day-to-day operations of the property, including resident satisfaction and lifecycle activities.
• Maintain accounts receivable: collect rent, post rent, perform daily deposits, and balance rent roll.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly financial and leasing reports timely.
• Audit records to identify lease expirations, delinquencies, and unlawful detainers.
• Process evictions with paperwork, notices, and court appearances.
• Lease apartments as needed and assist with move-ins/move-outs and renewals.
• Assist with training staff on leasing, traffic entry, marketing, and office operations.
