Job summary

The John Stewart Company in San Jose is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations of the property under the supervision of the Property Manager. You will help implement policies, maintain occupancy, and foster a welcoming environment for residents.

Responsibilities include screening applicants, processing leases, rent collection, and coordinating with vendors. Requires 1-2 years in property management, fluent English, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and a valid

Qualifications

• 1-2 years property management experience, preferably with Tax Credit properties.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local tenant laws and policies.
• Able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Interviews and screens prospective residents for occupancy.
• Prepares, processes and signs leases and rules.
• Rent collection and deposits using property management software.
• Assist with inspections and monitoring work orders.
• Maintain records and submit required reports.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
