Supreme Talent is seeking a hands-on Portfolio Property Manager to oversee a diverse residential portfolio in New York City and White Plains, NY. You will lead day-to-day operations, coordinate renovations, and manage relationships with tenants, vendors, and ownership.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in residential property management, strong project management skills, and experience with building systems. Travel between NYC and White Plains is required; a valid driver's license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to urgent maintenance issues and after-hours emergencies.

Job description

Our client, a growing real estate investment and management company, is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Portfolio Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential properties located throughout New York City and White Plains, NY.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive property management professional who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, managing projects, and building strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and ownership.

The Portfolio Property Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations, maintenance, financial performance, and tenant relations across a diverse residential portfolio. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of building operations, experience managing capital projects and renovations, and the ability to oversee multiple properties while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Regular travel between New York City and White Plains properties is required.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and comprehensive property inspections, from basements to rooftops, ensuring buildings are well‑maintained, safe, and operating efficiently.
  • Oversee tenant service requests and complaints, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and resolved to the highest standard.
  • Manage superintendents, porters, maintenance personnel, and third‑party vendors to ensure quality performance and accountability.
  • Coordinate tenant move‑ins and move‑outs, ensuring all procedures and documentation are properly completed.
  • Oversee apartment renovations, unit turnovers, and capital improvement projects, including:
    • Developing scopes of work
    • Soliciting and evaluating contractor bids
    • Ensuring insurance compliance
    • Tracking budgets and timelines
    • Delivering projects on schedule and within budget
  • Coordinate inspections, permits, compliance requirements, certifications, and regulatory filings.
  • Assist in preparing annual operating and capital budgets and monitor ongoing financial performance.
  • Review and approve invoices, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Partner closely with ownership, accounting, leasing, asset management, and onsite teams to ensure seamless portfolio operations.
  • Maintain strong tenant and vendor relationships through professional communication and responsive service.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance issues and after‑hours emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of residential property management experience.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of multiple residential properties.
  • Experience with New York City residential properties strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable traveling regularly between New York City and White Plains, NY.
  • Strong knowledge of residential building systems, including:
    • HVAC systems
    • Boilers
    • Elevators
    • Plumbing systems
    • Fire and life safety systems
    • Roofs
    • Pumps
    • Intercom systems
  • Experience managing building staff, contractors, and service vendors.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating with ownership and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Own and drive a car is preferred, Valid Drivers license.

Location: New York, NY

Salary: $120K + Benefits, health, dental, vision, Car and commute expenses.

Compensation:

$120,000 per year
