Job summary

West Virginia University is seeking a Corporate Accountant Lead in Property Management to oversee fixed asset accounting, develop and enforce policies, and lead system enhancements across financial modules. The role supports WVU and regional campuses with strong focus on compliance and financial reporting.

The incumbent will train and guide accounting staff, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure accurate asset records and sponsor reporting, while promoting WVU's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial operations of a complex organization.
• Equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Property Management unit and develop, monitor, and control systems for fixed asset accounting and reporting.
• Coordinate, develop and apply policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and university regulations.
• Identify, analyze and reconcile asset transactions across GL, fixed asset, procurement, grants, and accounts payable modules.
