Job summary

MUSC Health in Charleston, SC is seeking an Asset Accountant/Fiscal Analyst III to manage fixed asset accounting and inventory across the university system. You will handle complex accounting, reconciliations, capital assets, asset tagging, disposals, transfers, construction projects, and related reporting to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field with relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems and fixed assets.

Responsibilities

• Process, audit, and reconcile capital asset transactions with supporting documentation.
• Perform bi-monthly reconciliations of asset activity between subledger and general ledger.
• Audit and reconcile data from annual inventory, update listings, and train staff on asset processes.
• Audit and reconcile disposal and transfer documentation for equipment valued at $5,000+.
• Create or update desktop procedures and assist with system implementations and improvements.
