Job summary

Vest Residential is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure building systems, grounds, and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and manage the make-ready process for vacant units.

Responsibilities include servicing resident requests, maintaining inventory, coordinating with vendors, and documenting all work for compliance. A strong safety mindset and ability to work evenings or weekends as needed are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience/training.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling are required for applicable roles.
• Valid driver’s license to operate property vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service requests and performs preventative maintenance per policy and code requirements.
• Completes make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units for leasing and move-ins.
• Maintains inventory and equipment, tracks usage, and reports reorder needs.
• Documents work orders accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Assists in groundskeeping and general property upkeep including cleaning and painting duties.
• Supports cost-saving practices by repairing rather than replacing parts where feasible.
