Job summary

Arcan Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of interior and exterior upkeep across our apartment communities in the southeastern United States. You will respond to resident service requests, troubleshoot issues, and uphold safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires basic trades knowledge (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems), strong communication skills, and flexibility for on-call, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including on-call hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains market-ready apartments, including repairs and housekeeping duties.
• Performs routine interior and exterior maintenance as scheduled; may involve painting, gutter cleaning, and related tasks.
• Repairs and maintains plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Responds to resident requests promptly and professionally.
• Reports maintenance concerns and safety hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintains safety, privacy, and proper entry procedures for residents.
• Coordinates with vendors for landscaping and other services.
• Adheres to state, local, and federal safety and fair housing laws.
