Greystar in Richmond, VA is seeking a Service Technician to ensure buildings and common areas meet standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality. You will perform maintenance, repairs, and make-readies, coordinate with vendors, and document work orders.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to work in all weather, and EPA refrigerant certifications; valid driver's license and compliance with safety rules. Onsite compensation includes potential bonuses and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance per policy and code.
• Finish the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections and punch lists.
• Manage materials: track inventory, return unused items, and notify re-ordering needs.
• Complete documentation for service requests in a timely, accurate manner.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, perform cleaning and paint touch-ups as needed.
• Assist cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
