Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain physical aspects of properties, ensure safety standards, and meet quality expectations. You will handle work orders, preventive maintenance, and documentation while supporting make-ready processes and cost-control initiatives.

Typical duties include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, managing inventory, and assisting with grounds, cleaning, and painting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Performs routine and preventive maintenance to meet safety standards and company policy.
• Diagnoses defects from resident requests and repairs accordingly.
• Keeps records and documents service work and inventory usage.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policy.
• Performs make-ready process for vacant apartments including inspections and punch lists.
• Tracks inventory, orders supplies, and notifies supervisor when re-orders are needed.
• Documents service requests and keeps accurate records for tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; assists with cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
