Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in Buffalo, NY. You will diagnose and repair building systems, complete resident work orders, and perform preventative maintenance to keep properties safe, clean, and functional.

Responsibilities include completing make-ready tasks, tracking inventory, and documenting work orders. The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and EPA certifications if applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• Minimum 2 years in property management maintenance or related building maintenance.
• May require HVAC and other licenses/certifications as per state/local rules.
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently or as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vacant apartments for leasing; manage pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Track materials, equipment, and tool usage; notify supervisor for re-orders.
• Document service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; assist with cleaning and minor painting.
• Contribute to cost-containment by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
• Attend safety meetings and follow OSHA and local safety requirements.
• May inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in periodic property inspections and communicate needs to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
