Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet safety, cleanliness and operational standards. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and support make-ready processes across the community.

Applicants should have 2+ years in maintenance, EPA refrigerant certifications, and a valid driver’s license. A proactive, collaborative approach is essential for success in this on-site role at Greystar communities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required or related training.
Minimum 2 years of property maintenance or related trade experience.
Certifications such as HVAC may be required and licenses may be needed.
Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance.
Perform the make-ready process for vacant apartments and coordinate vendors as needed.
Access materials from maintenance and track inventory, returning unused items and notifying re-orders.
Document service requests accurately and timely.
Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities, including cleaning and basic repairs.
Support cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts when possible.
Follow safety policies, complete OSHA training, and report incidents promptly.
Periodically inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance.
Assist in routine property inspections and communicate needs to management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
