Job summary

Roofstock is seeking a Service Technician to keep rental properties in excellent condition, both inside and out. You will be self-motivated, customer-focused, technically skilled, and able to handle multiple properties efficiently.

The role involves inspections, maintenance, HVAC oversight, move-ins preparation, and collaboration with vendors across several sites. A strong hands-on, safety-conscious mindset is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency; Associates degree in a technical field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Two+ years of direct building maintenance experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage schedules effectively.
• Tech-savvy; able to learn tracking, scheduling and communications systems.
• Experience using mobile applications for tasks.
• Positive, can-do attitude; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough inspections of buildings, units and homes.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartments and single-family homes.
• Ensure HVAC systems are functioning as intended.
• Test functionality and have knowledge of HVAC components.
• Complete internally managed service requests.
• Prepare vacant units for new move-ins.
• Perform QA inspections of work by outside vendors.
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Work safely and address unsafe situations.
• Serve as Roofstock’s on-the-ground ambassador; post notices and maps across properties.
• Other duties as assigned.
