Job summary

Franklin Group in Washington, DC area seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep property buildings and grounds in optimal condition, diagnose issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, and appliances.

You will respond to resident work orders, perform routine maintenance, manage supplies, and uphold safety standards; valid HVAC cert encouraged and CAMT recommended; on-call availability required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• HVAC certification is required for this position; CAMT recommended.
• Fair Housing Certification required within 1 day of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Respond to resident work orders and notify management on completion.
• Daily upkeep and repair of the community.
• Punch maintenance of vacant units prior to new occupancy.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Keep work area and tools clean and organized.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
